1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting SpeedFerret (speedferret.com) and using any part of the site — including playing games, viewing leaderboards, or creating a username — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Eligibility

SpeedFerret is intended for users of all ages. If you are under the age of 13, please ensure a parent or guardian is aware you are using the site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. See our Privacy Policy — Children section for details.

3. User Accounts & Usernames

SpeedFerret does not require registration. Instead, a unique 9-character username (e.g. AspPaaepY) is generated for you and stored in your browser. You are responsible for keeping a record of this username if you wish to access your profile across devices.

• Usernames are randomly assigned and cannot be chosen manually.
• You may set an optional nickname (display name) of up to 30 characters.
• Nicknames must not be offensive, impersonate others, or contain personal data.
• We reserve the right to remove or change any nickname we deem inappropriate.
• We are not responsible for lost usernames stored only in your browser.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to manipulate game scores or leaderboards.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its infrastructure.
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or disruptive content via any site feature.
• Interfere with or disrupt the performance of the site for other users.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of SpeedFerret without written permission.
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose under Australian or applicable international law.

We reserve the right to ban any user or invalidate any score that we believe was obtained through cheating, automation, or abuse.

5. Intellectual Property

All games, graphics, code, text, logos, and other content on SpeedFerret are the property of SpeedFerret and are protected by Australian and international copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our express written consent.

Your gameplay data (scores, usernames) remains yours. We do not claim ownership of any data you generate through normal use of the site.

6. Scores & Leaderboards

Scores submitted to SpeedFerret leaderboards are publicly visible. By submitting a score you agree that your username, nickname, score, and level reached may be displayed publicly.

We reserve the right to remove scores from leaderboards at any time, including scores we believe to be fraudulent, and to reset leaderboards during the development phase without notice.

7. Advertising

SpeedFerret may display third-party advertisements. We are not responsible for the content of those advertisements. Clicking an advertisement will take you to a third-party website governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

If you use an ad blocker, some ad spaces may appear blank. This does not affect your ability to use the site.

8. Disclaimers

SpeedFerret is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The site will be available at all times or free of errors.
• Scores or user data will be preserved indefinitely — particularly during the current development phase.
• The site will be free from security vulnerabilities.

Use the site at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeedFerret and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site — including loss of data, scores, or username access.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
